Plastiglomerate

Post-Rock Formations of the Anthropocene

Post-Rock investigates the evolving nature of geology in the Anthropocene by examining
how human activity—particularly plastic waste—alters the traditional rock cycle. Centered on
the emerging material known as plastiglomerate, the project proposes a speculative yet
grounded future where synthetic debris fuses with natural elements, forming a new class of
rock born from environmental crisis. Through design, material exploration, and architectural
intervention, the project envisions how these unnatural geologies might shape future
landscapes, habitats, and structures.
